Pac-10 Awards

Isaiah Thomas and Matthew Bryan-Amaning made the Pac-10 1st team.

C.J. Wilcox made the all freshman team with Terrence Ross receiving an honorable mention.

Justin Holiday and Matthew Bryan-Amaning were honorable mentions for the all defensive team.

Derrik Williams won Player of the Year and Sean Miller won Coach of the Year.

Freshman of the Year was Allen Crabbe.

Defensive Player of the Year was Marcus Simmons.

Most Improved went to Matthew Bryan-Amaning.

  1. Who would have thought Holiday and Venoy would not be on the defensive team at the start of this season.

  2. Yah, I thought those 2 would be competing for defensive player of the year with no one else even close.

    I think Venoy probably would have won this easily if not for the injuries. Not sure what happened with Justins defense, maybe just decided to concentrate more on offense?

  3. I think Justin put it best when he said that because his offensive numbers were up, people concentrated less on his defense.

    I'm more surprised Holiday didn't make the 10 man 1st team or even the second team for that matter. He played better than a few people on the list in my opinion.
