Venoy Overton Charged With Supplying Minors

Venoy Overton has officially been charged with supplying two underage girls with alcohol. This carries a maximum penalty of 1 year in jail. No news yet on what the repercussions will be or when the court date is set for. Romar is expected to meet with media members at 2pm so I will bring you more news when I hear it myself.

Overton will likely sit at least 1 game. This is a major blow to the Huskies as the senior just came off a very impressive performance in the loss to USC. It also drops the number of eligible scholarship players back down to 8. The Huskies are going to have to play through this to the best of their abilities and the other members of the team need to step up together to fight through this.

I believe UW needs to win the first game of the Pac-10 tournament to be considered a lock. WSU needs to win the whole thing so they will be fighting tooth and nail to advance as well as beat UW for a 3rd consecutive time, all from this season.

*EDIT* Venoy Overton will sit out the entirety of the Pac-10 Tournament and will not travel with the team.
